Kohlrabi Bhaji
Kohlrabi is a cruciferous family closely related to cabbage. It is packed with micronutrients such as Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, Potassium. Due to its high antioxidant richness, it helps reduce the risk of diabetes and metabolic disease. Its high fiber contents support the gut health.
Kohlrabi Bhaji
Kohlrabi bhaji has similar taste as potato.
Ingredients
- 2 pound Kohlrabi
- 1/2 no Onion
- 3 tbls Canola oil
- 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp Red chili powder
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 2 tsp Coriander cumin powder
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- 3/4 tsp Salt(adjust to taste)
- 1 cup Water
Instructions
- Take kohlrabi, wash with water.
- Peel the outer skin of kohlrabi with peeler.
- Cut the peeled kohlrabi into pieces.
- Take a wok, put it on medium heat. Add oil, let the oil heat. Add mustered seeds, cumin seeds. Let it sputter the seeds.
- Add onions and fry it as translucent. Add ginger garlic paste and cook for 1 minutes.
- Add Red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt.
- Once the masala is cooked, add kohlrabi and water.
- Cover the wok with lid and cook for 15 minutes on medium heat. Once all the water evaporates turn the heat off. Kohlrabi bhaji is ready.
