Baba Ghanoush
Baba ghanoush is used as salsa or spread or dip. It is eaten with pita bread or pita chips
Equipment
- 1 Baking try
Ingredients
- 1 no Eggplant
- 2 tbsp Sesame seeds(Toasted)
- 1/4 cup Olive oil
- 1 no Lemon(juice)
- 2 tbsp Yogurt
- 1 tsp Ground black pepper
- 2 pieces Garlic
- 1/2 tsp Red chili powder(for garnish)
- 1/2 tsp Cumin powder(for garnish)
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Parsley(for garnish)
- 1 tbsp Olive oil(for garnish)
Instructions
- Take a blender, put toasted sesame seeds and blend it. Add olive oil and blend it again until it is paste and set aside. This sesame paste is called Tahini paste.
- Add baked eggplant pieces, garlic pieces, yogurt and blend it until it is a fine paste.
- Take a bowl, add tahini, blended eggplant, black pepper, lemon juice, salt and mix together.
- Garnish prepared baba ghanoush with olive oil, red chili powder, cumin powder and parsley. Eat baba ghanoush with pita chips
