Cheese cake! Sounds so yummy right! This is made even better with my own homemade cheese, which is made out of just a few ingredients like homemade paneer, hung curd and sugar. Mix all these together and make your own cheese for cheese cake. Rest is simple, buy any semi sweet cookies for cheese cake base and cheese cake is ready within few hours. This is must try out recipe for you all!

Ingredients for making Cheese

  • 1 cup Paneer
  • 1/4 cup Milk (for paneer)
  • 3/4 cup Hung Curd
  • 1/4 cup Milk(for hung curd)
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 tblsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Lemon Zest
  • 1/4 cup warm milk(for agar agar)
  • 1/2 tbsp Agar agar( to set the cheese cake)

  • 2 cups Grounded Graham cracker
  • 1/3 cup Melted ghee(for graham cracker base)

Instructions for Making Cheese Cake Base

  • Take any brand of semi sweet cookies like graham crackers, mari etc.
  • Take one chopper and grind the crackers.
  • Finely grinded crackers.
  • Take one third cup ghee.
  • Melt the ghee in a microwave or on stop top.
  • Add melted ghee in a ground crackers and make a crumble.
  • Take one Pyrex dish and grease non-stick spay. Add graham cracker crumble in the dish and press graham cracker crumble firmly.
  • Give the shape of smooth cheese cake base.
  • Blind bake graham cracker cheese cake base in a oven for 10 minutes at 350 degree Fahrenheits.
  • After 10 minutes take the cheese cake base out of oven and put it on cooling rack.

Instructions for making Cheese for Cheese Cake

  • Take one cup homemade paneer.
  • Take one blender, add paneer and one forth cup milk and grind into smooth mixture.
  • Smooth paneer.
  • Take three fourth cup hung curd.
  • Take one blender, add three fourth cup hung curd, add milk and add sugar and grind all ingredients together to smooth mixture.
  • Add smooth hung curd into smooth paneer.
  • Take one bowl, add warm milk and add 1/2 table spoon of agar agar and make smooth mixture and keep it aside.
  • Take one lemon and zest one teaspoon zest and keep it aside.
  • Take same lemon and make a two tablespoon of lemon juice and keep it aside.
  • Add lemon zest, lemon juice and agar, agar into smooth paneer and hung curd mixture and mix all ingredient together with whisk.
  • Homemade cheese is ready for cheese cake.

Instructions for Cheese Cake

  • Now take the cooled cheese cake base.
  • Add homemade cheese on the cake base.
  • Smooth out the cheese on cake base with spatula.
  • Cover cheese cake with aluminum foil. Bake cheese cake at 325 degree Fahrenheits for 40 to 50 minutes.
  • After cheese cake is done, take the cheese cake out of the oven and put it on a cooling rack. Once cheese cake is cooled, then wrap it with cling wrap.
  • Put the cheese cake in the refrigerator to set the cheese for more than two hours or overnight.
