Equipment

  • 1 Measuring cups
  • 1 Non-stick pan

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Ground meat
  • 3 no Poblano peppers
  • 2 no Serrano peppers
  • 1/4 cup Burger Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 2 tsp Onion flakes
  • 1 tsp Parsley(dry)
  • 2 tbls Canola oil
  • 1/2 no Lettuce head(separate into pieces)
  • 1 no Cucumber(cut into circles)
  • 1 no Tomato(cut into circles)
  • 1 no Onion(cut into rings)
  • 1 packet Hamburger buns

Instructions

  • Take ground meat in a bowl.
  • Take poblano and serrano peppers, wash with water and pat dry with paper towel.
Take stainless steal wire roaster, put it on stove top on medium to high heat. Once the stainless steal wire roaster is hot, put poblano and serrano peppers on it and rotate every 2 minutes, roast until grill marks on the peppers.
  • Take the grilled skin of the peppers and cut into small pieces and keep aside.
  • Take a bowl, add gourmet seasoning, smoked paprika powder, garlic powder, onion flakes, parsley, mix all masala and keep aside. (don't add salt).
  • Take a bowl, add ground meat, add peppers, and gourmet seasoning mixture.
  • Mix all ingredients together and keep aside.
  • Make 150 grams of meat balls.
  • Take one meat ball and give a burger patty shape.
  • After shaping your patty, simply  place the thumb in the center and gently press to create an indent. Making an indent in the center of the patty solves the problem of shrinking, because it helps the burger to hold its shape as the meat contracts.
  • Take a non-stick pan, put it on a stove top on a medium high heat. Let the pan heat up for 5 minutes. Once the pan is heated, drizzle oil and put 3 burger patties and cook for 4-5 minutes on one side.(You can adjust the heat according to your stove, cause some of you may have gas stove, electric coiled, smooth surface and so on.)
  • Flip the burger patties to other side and cook it for another 4-5 minutes. The cooked burger patties internal temperature should be 160 degree Fahrenheit.
  • Gourmet burger patties are ready to build the hamburger.
  • Take lettuce, cucumber, and tomato. Wash it with water, pat dry with paper towel. Cut the cucumber and tomato into circle pieces.
  • Build the homemade gourmet hamburger. Take one homemade hamburger or store bought hamburger bun cut into two pieces. On one half of the bun, put lettuce pieces, cucumber, tomato and grilled onion rings, gourmet burger patty, and top with other half of hamburger bun.
  • Yum! enjoy the homemade gourmet hamburger.
