Mango Chili Lime Pickle
Nothing like a jar of Mango Chili Lime pickle to spice up your summer! This zesty and fiery relish is made with fresh ingredients: fresh mangoes, tangy limes and hot green chilies. To make it, you just need to add some red chili powder, turmeric powder, crushed mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, oil, lime juice, and salt. You can savor this pickle as a snack, a side dish, or a topping for various dishes. It will keep well in an airtight container for up to a year.
Mango Chili Lime Pickle
This tangy and spicy condiment that can be made with fresh mangoes, fresh limes and fresh green chilies. Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, crushed mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, oil, lime juice, and salt.
Ingredients
- 1 pound/lb mango(2)
- 1 pound/lb Lime
- 250 grams Green chilies
- 3 tbsp mustard seeds
- 2 tbsp fenugreek seeds
- 3 tbsp Red chili powder
- 1 tbsp Turmeric powder
- 3 tbsp Salt
- 1 cup lime juice
Instructions
- Take one pond mango or 2 medium mangos, one pound lime and half pound fresh green chilies. Wash all ingredients and let it dry of water.
- Cut mango into cubed, cut lime into cubed and cut chilies into length wise.
- Pickle Masala: Take 3 tablespoons of mustard seeds and 2 tablespoon of fenugreek seeds. Dry roast the seeds and crushed it. Take 3 tablespoon of red chili powder and 1 tablespoons of turmeric powder, 3 tablespoon salt.
- Mix all the pickle masala ingredients together and keep it aside.
- Squeeze the limes and make one cup of lime juice and keep it aside.
- Take one big bowl, add cut mango, lime and chilies and add pickle masala and mix together.
- After mixing pickle masala with mango, chili and lime, add lime juice to it.
- After mixing lime juice, cover the bowl with lid and keep it overnight. Then put the mango chili lime pickle in a jar. You can savor this pickle as a snack, a side dish, or a topping for various dishes.
